Singletrack – Rowdy Trails – Sweet Jumps: A trail-born steel shapeshifter

The Sorceress is a modern trail hardtail that can be ridden with either derailleurs or as a singlespeed. It’s designed to give you a magical singletrack experience – anytime, anywhere, whenever you call on it.

It guides you safely through steep and technical sections, shines on flow trails and confidently holds its line on descents. Surly’s modern trail geometry combines a long front centre, a steep seat tube angle and a slack head angle – the result is playful handling, stability and efficient climbing (plus that feeling of floating a little). The low standover height and space for long dropper posts ensure greater freedom of movement and less contact with the saddle.

The Surly Natch steel frame is specially tuned for the Sorceress – lively, comfortable and supple on the trail. And as befits a witch, she’s a true shapeshifter: in collaboration with SRAM, the new, patented DUH dropout system has been developed, enabling the following setups:
– classic UDH rear derailleur – Full-Mount Transmission – or single-speed configuration
