Why choose touring bikes with disc brakes?

The Disc Trucker enjoys the same reputation as the Long Haul Trucker: it is one of the best-riding and best-value drop-bar touring bikes on the market. However, sometimes a combination of load, weather and terrain requires a little more braking power than a standard LHT rim brake can provide.

This is where the redesigned Disc Trucker comes in. It offers reliable braking power and a host of useful mounting points, whilst shortened chainstays increase the Disc Trucker’s stiffness and manoeuvrability when cornering. Add to that an improved fit and handling under load, as well as sealed thru-axles for tool-free removal and installation, and the Disc Trucker is ready to help you fulfil – or get round – your daily commitments.

 

A dynamo mount on the fork, plus three mounts on the fork leg and all the brazed connections you’ll ever need for luggage racks, mudguards, bottle cages and more

12 mm thru-axles for a stiffer ride and increased stability when fully loaded

A shortened seat tube and slightly raked top tube for greater ground clearance, as well as increased stack height for a more upright and comfortable riding position on long journeys

Fitted with the Truck Stop Bar and tubeless ExtraTerrestrial tyres for reliable handling and traction
