Why touring bikes with disc brakes?

The Disc Trucker enjoys the same reputation as the Long Haul Trucker: it is one of the best riding and most affordable drop-bar touring bikes on the market. However, sometimes a combination of load, climate and terrain requires a little more braking power than a standard LHT rim brake can offer.

This is where the newly designed Disc Trucker comes into play. It offers reliable braking power and a variety of useful mounting points, while shortened chainstays increase the stiffness and manoeuvrability of the Disc Trucker when cornering. Add to that improved fit and handling under load, plus encapsulated thru-axles for tool-free removal and installation, and the Disc Trucker is ready to help you meet - or avoid - your daily commitments.

Dynamo routing on the fork, plus three mounts on the blade and all the braze-ons you'll ever need for racks, mudguards, bottle cages and more

12 mm thru-axles for a stiffer ride feel and increased stability when fully loaded

Shortened seat tube and slightly raked top tube for more standover clearance as well as increased stack height for a more upright and comfortable riding position on long rides

Equipped with the Truck Stop Bar and tubeless ExtraTerrestrial tyres for reliable handling and traction

Flat mount disc brakes

Frame sizes 42-56 cm are available with 26" diameter wheels, while frame sizes 56-64 cm are available with 700c diameter wheels
