SQ Lab

To determine the correct SQlab saddle width, the distance between the sit bones is measured first. However, this value alone is not sufficient, as the seating position has a decisive influence. SQlab therefore recommends adding an allowance to the measured distance. The more sporty the posture, the smaller this allowance is - it is correspondingly larger for a very upright sitting posture.

The result of the sit bone distance plus the allowance is the appropriate saddle width. This ensures that the sit bones are fully supported and sensitive areas are relieved. A saddle that is too narrow leads to pressure on the perineum or pubic arch, which can cause numbness or pain. With the right width, however, the pressure is distributed evenly, power transmission remains efficient and comfort increases significantly - especially on long rides.

👉 In a nutshell: measure, add the surcharge, choose the right width - this is how you find the SQlab saddle that perfectly suits your body and riding style.
